ELMS – Romain Brandela joins Morand Racing

Newblood by Morand Racing is preparing to compete in a new season in ELMS currently carrying out a two-day test session at Magny-Cours with the Morgan-Judd. After confirming Christian Klien and Gary Hirsch, the Swiss team completed its crew with the presence of Romain Brandela who made his debut in the discipline last year at the wheel of the Lola B11/40-Judd of DKR Engineering with whom he notably took 12th place in LMP2 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 40-year-old Frenchman previously distinguished himself in the French GT Championship and in Blancpain Endurance Series including seven entries in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

“I am delighted to join the team. It’s a bit of a dream for me to be able to continue my experience in LM P2 in this configuration”, comments the new recruit of Newblood by Morand Racing. “I hope I can learn a lot from such a team and such drivers. I also hope to be able to make my contribution to the building and Benoît (Morand, the owner of the eponymous stable) and I thank Benoît and his team for their trust! »
