Fabio Scherer reunites with United Autosports

By signing up with United Autosports, Fabio Scherer returns to the team from his debut in the World Championship.Endurance of the FIA. The 24-year-old Swiss had in fact played his first season in WEC with the Anglo-American team in 2021, winning his first races in the championship at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 6 Hours of Monza in the company of Filipe Albuquerque and Phil Hanson (he did not participate at the Portimão channel).

Fabio Scherer then competed in the 2022 and 2023 seasons with Inter Europol Competition, the team with which he won the Centenary of 24 Hours of Le Mans, in the LM P2 category. In 2024, he will reunite with Filipe Albuquerque at United Autosports, this time in the European Le Mans Series.

« I am very happy and honored to be back at United Autosports, says Scherer. We had a lot of fun last time and had some great success, but we also had some bad luck. This year we want to win as many races as possible and bring the European Le Mans Series championship home. »

With the return of Fabio Scherer, there is only one name left to be announced at United Autosports for the 2024 European Le Mans Series season. Ben Hanley, Filip Ugran and Marino Sato will share the wheel of the #22, while Daniel Schneider, Andrew Meyrick and Oliver Jarvis will partner in the #21. Scherer and Albuquerque's teammate in the No. 23 is the final unknown.
