A new chapter opens in 2024 for IDEC Sport. The French team will indeed have to do without Paul-Loup Chatin. The latter, present within the team since 2018, will ride with Alpine in the Hypercar category of the World ChampionshipEndurance of the FIA. The next season of European Le Mans Series will also be done without Laurents Hörr, who started in 2023 with the Fontenay-Trésigny team (Seine-et-Marne).

Chatin and Hörr will be replaced in 2024 by Reshad de Gerus and Job van Uitert alongside Paul Lafargue. Two recruits who know the championship well. The 20-year-old Frenchman spent half a season with Duqueine in 2022 before joining COOL Racing in 2023. Job van Uitert has been present in the European championship since 2018, the year he won the LM P3 title with RLR Msport. . The 25-year-old Dutchman has been riding with Panis Racing for the past two years.

« I am very happy with this new line-up, confides Nicolas Minassian, main team of IDEC Sport. We have two experienced pilots joining us. Job is very fast, he has already participated in six seasons in LM P2 and has proven his speed time and time again. He has a great personality, which will go well with the team. It has a real IDEC Sport profile. He will give us that burst of speed that we like to have within the team.

We need this type of driver and we are delighted to build the future with him. As for Reshad, I have seen him ride for 2 years in ELMS and at Le Mans. He is a young man who has a lot of determination and who will give one hundred percent of what he knows how to do, at every moment. He also knows how to be very fast and we saw that when he took pole in Barcelona this year. It will fit very well in the IDEC Sport family, where we operate among enthusiasts. We will pull each other up. They join Paul, who needs no introduction and who is coming off a great season. I think this trio will work wonderfully.

We attach great importance to recruitment with Paul and Patrice, we discussed a lot and we agreed that it was the best option for our trio of drivers. We are expecting them at the workshop in January and February for a good integration and also so that they can train on our new simulator. »
