José María López joins COOL Racing for the ELMS

A great catch for COOL Racing. The Swiss team has recruited Jose Maria Lopez, double world championEndurance, for its program in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS). The Argentine pilot, regular pilot with Toyota en WEC, will be associated with Vladislav Lomko in the 2nd LM P2 entered in the European championship by the Swiss team. “Pechito” López, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021, will have the task of bringing his experience to the highest level within the team.

José María López, whose reputation is well established at the highest level of Endurance, will discover an LM P2 category which is still unknown to him. He will join one of his former teammates at Toyota: Nicolas lapierre, with whom he shared his LM P1 during the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2017. The Frenchman, director of the COOL Racing team, will be in the other Oreca 07 with Alexandre Coigny and Malthe Jakobsen.
