The Mansells try Formula Le Mans

Greg, who has just signed with USR in Formula Renault 3.5 Series, first took the wheel on the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit before leaving it to his elder Leo. After having covered around fifteen laps each, they were able to see the World Champion of F1 1992 at work.

“I am both delighted and surprised,” said the Briton as he got out of the car. “It's an excellent car: ORECA did a superb job and Leo, Greg and I thank the team for this opportunity on the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit. It?s a good experience and it?s nice to come back here. The FLM09 is a real racing car, which can be driven like one. To be fast, you have to attack! The Formula Le Mans has many qualities. In fact, it?s a real LMP1, just a little smaller! »

Nigel Mansell has not stopped himself from driving in Formula Le Mans this season: “We were happy to test the car and discussions are open. We're wishing for the best ".

Twelve pilots took part in these tests. Another session is scheduled for April 30 at Le Mans.

Nearly half of the cars have been delivered to date. The first event of the season will take place at Spa-Francorchamps on May 8 and 9.
