Newcomer to COOL Racing after his victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans under the colors of WRT in the LM P2 category, Charles Milesi took pole position for his first appearance with the WRT team. Nicolas lapierre. The pilot Alpine, third in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in Hypercar this season and director of the Swiss team, reacted to the performance of his driver and teammate. “We really have great potential since the start of the year, the car is working well, believes the Frenchman. We never managed to put everything together and there, Charles, for his first participation with the team, really did a great job. Taking pole is really a great reward given his peak speed and what he has been doing since the start of the weekend. It’s nice for tomorrow’s race. »

Nicolas Lapierre also returned to the reasons for the arrival of Charles Milesi at COOL Racing:“We wanted to find a Silver to open up our race strategy a little because with the Pro-Am regulations, with a Gold and a Platinum, we were cooked before the start of the race. So we were looking for an available Silver and when I saw that there was a big hole with the WEC between Le Mans and Bahrain, I asked Charles to do two freelance jobs for us, which he accepted. The current went really well. I've been following him for a few years and I see his potential. It does the whole team good to have him in our car. He has been fast since the start of the year, we know that the car is efficient, but to do what he did in his first race with us is quite strong. » Despite this performance, the native of Thonon-les-Bains does not envisage the feat in the race against United Autosports or WRT: " We are in Pro-Am, you don't have to get carried away. We are aiming for Pro-Am, that remains our objective. »
