Oak Racing enters the Asian Le Mans Series

Oak Racing will therefore, from March 5, race in Asian Le Mans Series with a Morgan LM P2. The car will be aligned with the team's historic colors, pink and black, as well as the number 24. Like theELMS, the P2 prototypes represent the premier category. Six rounds are on the program with races in China, Korea, Japan and Indonesia. Oak Racing will notably face one of its client teams, KCMG.

According to Sébastien Philippe, team manager, this will be an important championship for the team, but also for the OnrOak Automotive technical division: “The Asian Le Mans Series represents an interesting challenge for a French team. This year OAK Racing will be present as a racing team to participate in the launch of this series which has a bright future. This commitment will also allow us to be very close to our customers. We want to support them and put our experience of this type of competition at their service to enable them to succeed as best as possible. We are aware that the sports prototype culture in Asia is emerging and this is one of the reasons for our commitment to our customers. Asia is also an area that I am fortunate to know and appreciate since most of my racing career took place on this continent. The team itself has always maintained special relationships with Asia. It has indeed successfully participated in all the Asian series or events initiated by the ACO. It was also the first to offer a Chinese driver the opportunity to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was 2008 and Cong Fu Cheng, then just 24 years old, not only took the start of his first endurance race at the wheel of a team LM P2, but he also finished third in this legendary test. We are part of this continuity. »
