Panis-Barthez and United Autosports will mix Oreca and Ligier at Silverstone

The Ligier clan will lose two units in its contingent in ELMS on August 31 for the resumption of the continental endurance championship. Panis-Barthez Compétition, which had until then been 100% faithful to the JS P217, will operate an Oreca 07 for the crew led by Julien Canal – René Binder – Will Stevens.

The team of Olivier Panis and Simon Abadie will, however, always count on a Ligier JS P217 for the trio Timothé Buret – Konstantin Tereschenko – Leonard Hoogenboom.

Another chassis change, this time for United Autosports. The team of Richard Dean and Zak Brown, following its transition from the Ligier JS P217 to the Oreca 07 on the stage of the WEC, will proceed in the same way for the Phil Hanson – Filipe Albuquerque duo.

For the rest of the field of 18 LM P2s at the start, G-Drive Racing will once again be one of the favorites with the No. 01 Aurus 26 of Job van Uitert – Roman Rusinov – Jean-Eric Vergne, the Russian prototype having imposed at Monza and Barcelona during the last two rounds of the 2019 ELMS.

Also watch out for Cool Racing Nicolas lapierre – Antonin Borga – Alexandre Coigny, authors of their first podium in Catalonia. Graff Racing also hopes to climb to the top step after its second place in Spain with Tristan Gommendy, Alexandre Cougnaud and Jonathan Hirschi.

14 LM P3s, with Inter Europol Competition leader in the standings, are expected, with the return of Yann Ehrlacher to M Racing. In GTE, seven cars should be on track.
