Will Stevens returns to Panis-Barthez Compétition

Will Stevens will leave for a second companion in Endurance with the Panis-Barthez Competition. Former Manor Marussia driver F1 will be engaged alongside Rene Binder en ELMS and 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 15 and 16 as well as a 3rd driver who has yet to be determined to complete the crew of the Ligier JS P217.

“We showed our level of competitiveness in 2018 and the superb results achieved at the end of the season encouraged me to stay. We have a job to finish, commented the 27-year-old Briton. We will do everything to achieve our first victory in 2019 after taking a pole and two podiums. Why not aim for the title if we show consistency? »

“It was a priority to keep Will Stevens with us, recognized Olivier Panis, the Team Principal of the team of the same name. I was really impressed by his speed and his involvement. I have rarely seen a professional driver share so much information with his teammates. He spends hours on telemetry trying to improve the car. It's true that he's quite grumpy but it's always in a positive sense. It rather makes us laugh and motivates us to make the prototype even faster. »
