GTP

  • Leader at the end of the previous hour, the No. 10 Acura of WTRAndretti lost a lot of time while repairing under Full Course Yellow. The Japanese prototype smoked a lot from the rear before going through the pit lane.
  • New leader of the race, Frédéric Makowiecki (Porsche n°6) found himself spinning off the track. The Frenchman was able to restart, but with a puncture and damage to the left rear, forcing him to enter the pits at low speed. This damage was perhaps the result of the collision with Katherine Legge (Gradient Racing no. 66) a few minutes earlier. This mishap benefited Matt Campbell in the sister car.
  • The Australian found himself under pressure from Renger van der Zande (Cadillac n°01). In the middle of the traffic, the two men also saw the two BMWs of Team RLL coming towards them as well as the No. 06 Acura ARX-40 driven by a wild Colton Herta. The first five were then within two seconds, slaloming through the middle of the GT and LM P2s!
  • Blocked behind a Romain Grosjean (Lamborghini) determined not to let himself be caught out for a lap, Campbell dove into the pit lane, followed a lap later by van der Zande. The double stop paved the way for Colton Herta and the No. 06 WTRAndretti Acura ARX-40 for the race lead.

LM P2

  • The fight rages for the lead in the LM P2 category between Nico Pino (United Autosports no. 2) and Hunter McElrea (TDS Racing no. 11).
