24 Hours of Daytona – Stéphane Sarrazin with Rebellion

Last week, Rebellion Racing has formalized its participation in the North American Endurance Cup, championship bringing together the four long races of theIMSA which are the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 28-29), the 12 Hours of Sebring (March 18), the 6 Hours of the Glen (July 2) and Petit Le Mans (October 7). The Swiss team will field an Oreca 07 there.

Only three drivers were then announced for the Florida double round, namely the Swiss Sébastien Buemi and Neel Jani as well as the German Nick Heidfeld. The three men will be supported on this occasion by the Frenchman Stéphane Sarrazin, in accordance with what was announced this week in AUTOhebdo (see Ah n°2092).

« I am really very happy to be part of this new challenge, rejoices the three-time winner of Petit Le Mans. I can't wait to discover the team and the new car. The crew is of a high standard and I think we have all the assets to do a good job. I'm delighted to work with Neel Jani, I know Nick well, we got along very well when we were teammates in Formula e, and with Sébastien we know each other well, we are very close at Toyota. I have already participated in the 24 Hours of Daytona, it is a difficult race, demanding in terms of strategy and where anything is possible, until the last lap. »

Rebellion Racing is, in any case, giving itself the means to achieve its ambitions.
