GTP

The No. 31 Cadillac is still as impressive as ever. After 16 hours of racing, the American LMDh from the Whelen Engineering team leads the proceedings with a large lead over his closest pursuer, Jordan Taylor in the No. 40 Acura WTRAndretti. There Porsche No. 6, now driven by Nick Tandy, is still in between thanks to its offbeat strategy, but is no longer able to regain control of the race, overtaken on the track by the leading Cadillac.

The other Acura of the WTRAndretti team, the n°10 of Brendon Hartley, returned to his garage for several minutes after the major mechanical problems that appeared at nightfall in Daytona. She is currently 108 laps behind the No. 31 Cadillac.

LM P2

In LM P2, no change compared to the previous hour: Christian Rasmussen still leads aboard the No. 18 Oreca of the Era Motorsport team, ahead of Ferdinand Habsburg in the No. 8 Tower Motorsports. Matthew Brabham lost several positions with the No. 99 AO Racing “Spike” Oreca and is now in 5th place.

GTD Pro / GTD

In GTD Pro, the fight is on between the No. 3 Corvette driven by Dani Juncadella and the Ferrari n°62 by Daniel Serra. The two drivers battled for a long time on the track, before the Risi Competizione Ferrari took the best and took control of the race. From now on, the Corvette is driven by Antonio Garcia and the Ferrari by Davide Rigon… but Sheldon van der Linde is not far away either with the #17 Paul Miller Racing BMW.
