24 Hours of Daytona: The final entry list
Despite the withdrawal of Black Swan Racing (boss Tim Pappas tested positive for Covid-19), the field for these 24 2021 Hours of Daytona will be well stocked. At 21:40 p.m. this Saturday, 49 cars will start the Florida double-round race.
Author of the pole, n°31 of Action Express (Nasr, Conway, Derani and Elliott) will lead a wagon of seven cars in the DPi category: a Mazda, two Acuras and four Cadillacs.
In LMP2, ten prototypes will fight for overall victory. In the second category of the race, it is the No. 07 Oreca 52 of PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports (Keating, Jensen, Huffaker and Stone) who will start from first place. The LMP3s for their part will be seven on the starting grid on Saturday.
The GTLM is not likely to mark this 59th edition. Unfortunately, six cars entered the 24 2021 Hours of Daytona while the GTD will see 19 crews fight for the category crown.
Le GTD devait initialement être composé de 20 montures mais comme indiqué précédemment, la Black Swan Racing a été contraint de déclarer forfait. L’équipe avec laquelle devait courir Patrick Pilet devait engager une Porsche 911 GT3 R.
