24H. of Daytona – Mathias Beche joins JDC-Miller Motorsports

One of the first teams to sign up with Oreca for the 2017 season in IMSA Sportscar Championship has just confirmed its crew for the 24 Hours of Daytona. The JDC-Miller Motorsports LM P2 from Var will be driven in Florida by Mathias Beche who joins year-round starters Misha Goikhberg, Chris Miller and Stephen Simpson.

The latter were already part of the JDC-Miller adventure in 2016 in the PC category, notably achieving success at Daytona last January, before making the jump to the premier category this year with the Oreca 07-Gibson.

The vice-champion ELMS Mathias Beche will be able to share his experience with Oreca prototypes with his teammates. “Mathias Beche is a great addition to our Daytona quartet and to the program, explains John Church, boss of the stable.

He has a lot of experience with Oreca and the car. With our team moving to a new class and car, we felt it was important to include someone like him in our testing and for the Daytona race.

When we discovered that Mathias was available to join us, it was a no-brainer to bring him on. He will be a big help as we work to get up to speed with the car. »
