31 cars expected at Petit Le Mans

IMSA revealed on Thursday the entry list for Petit Le Mans, which will take place on October 17. The LMP2 and GTD contingent is growing slightly.

31 cars expected at Petit Le Mans

Special year 2020 obliges, the Little Le Mans will not constitute the final of the Weather Tech Sports Car Championship as usual. The 10-hour race at Road Atlanta will be followed by a round at Laguna Seca and the 12 Hours of Sebring in mid-November.

The Petit Le Mans will still be one of the important events in theEndurance Cup. 31 cars appear on the entry list presented Thursday by theIMSA.

In Dpi, few changes. The still eight-car strong class will see Tristan Vautier replace Joao Barbosa in the No. 5 Sampling Racing Cadillac Mustang. He will accompany Loïc duval and Sébastien Bourdais.

and Alexander Red completes the crew of the No. 7 Acura Team Penske, alongside Ricky Taylor and Helio Castroneves. Finally, the No. 85 JDC Miller Cadillac will welcome Frenchman Gabriel Aubry to support Chris Miller and Mattheus Leist.

In LMP2, Era Motorsport is leaving the ship, but the category will have two more cars than usual. The only team still there this year, PR1 Mathiasen Motorsport will bring a second car entrusted in particular to Austin McCusker. Performance Tech Motorsports will be present with James McGuire, Matthew Bell and Colin Braun while Tower Motorsport, also returning, will count on John Farano and Mikkel Jensen.

Nicky Catsburg arrive dans la Corvette n°3, Marcel Fassler dans la n°4, Augusto Farfus dans la BMW Team RLL n°24, Colton Herta au volant de la n°24, Matt Campbell dans la Porsche n°911 et Mathieu Jaminet dans la n°912.

Finally in GTD, we see the arrival of an Audi R8 LMS GT3 entered by Team Hardpoint which will put its trust in Rob Ferriol in particular. It brings the total to 13 cars in the category.
