He's doing it again. After running three events of the WEC last year at Rebellion Racing, Nick Heidfeld has just obtained a full-time seat for 2013 within the Swiss team, as your AUTOhebdo magazine n°1893 announced this week. The training comes at the same opportunity to unveil the main lines of its program for this season. The Anglo-Swiss team will race the entire world championshipEndurance (WEC) and American Le Mans Series (ALMS) with an auto aligned every time. If we do not yet know where precisely the former pilot of Formula 1, one thing is certain: he will race all the events in his category aboard a Lola B12/60-Toyota.
Rebellion Racing took the opportunity to announce another return to its ranks, that of Chinese driver Cong fu Cheng. The contingent of six drivers therefore consists of the latter, Nick Heidfeld, by Nicolas Prost who was confirmed the day before, as well as Neel Jani, Andrea Belicchi and newcomer Mathias Beche, announced earlier. “We are fortunate to still benefit from a contingent of talented and experienced drivers this year. I am confident that they will do a good job and work well together.", declared Rebellion Racing team manager Bart Hayden.
