BMW loses GTLM pole position at Road America

Tom Blomqvist will not have celebrated his first GTLM pole for long in IMSA yesterday at Road America. At the end of the technical checks, the two BMW M8s operated by Team RLL were excluded from the results, for non-compliant ride height.

Enough to reject the two German cars at the back of the GTLM pack for this evening's event. A sanction which allows Corvette Racing and the No. 7 C4.R of Tommy Milner and Oliver Gavin to regain preferential position on the starting grid.

Ryan Briscoe and Richard Westbrook (#67 Ford GT) will start alongside the cutting-edge C7.R. Remember that pole position overall has returned Acura Team Penske and the Dane Cameron – Juan Pablo Montoya duo.
