Bourdais will finish the Grand-Am with 8Star Motorsports

After standing out last weekend in IndyCar by winning two podiums in Toronto, Sébastien Bourdais signed a contract with 8Star Motorsports to compete in the final five races of the season. The four-time Champ Car champion knows the discipline well since he has already made eight starts since 2005, including four at the 24 Hours of Daytona. The Frenchman finished in eighth place during the last event at Watkins Glen where he defended the colors of Starworks Motorsport. The old pilot Peugeot will reunite with his ex-teammate Stéphane Sarrazin, driver of sister car No. 3, while he will compete alongside Emilio Di Guida who made his debut in the category during the last meeting.

“There are many talented people at 8Star and I am happy to be one of them”, commented the new recruit of Enzo Potolicchio. “I'm pretty excited about the prospects of driving for a new team that has come into its own quite quickly. Emilio is a good gentleman driver and the format of the discipline always offers an opportunity for a good result for an amateur and a pro. Stéphane and I were teammates at Le Mans in 2007 and 2009 and in different cars after that, so I know him very well. He's a very fast driver and it will be good to be together again. »
