Cameron and Taylor on the front row at Petit Le Mans

At Road Atlanta, Acura Team Penske emerged as the fastest team, at least in qualifying. Indeed, Dane Cameron, at the wheel of the No. 05 Acura ARX-6 DPi, set the best time of the session in 1'08.

At the finish line, he beat the No. 7 of his teammate Ricky Taylor by only 94 thousandths. The two men thus offered Acura Team Penske the first row in the Dpi category for the Small Le Mans. The #31 Cadillac DPi-VR of the Derani/Albuquerque/Nasr trio (Whelen Engineering Racing) took third place on the grid.

In the LMP2 category, pole position went to the #07 PR52 ORECA 1 from Mathiasen Motorsports. Patrick Kelly completed the lap in 11'11"590.

In GTLM, the No. 3 Corvette of the Garcia-Taylor-Catsburg crew (Corvette Racing) will start in the lead after beating the No. 8 BMW M25 GTE (BMW Team RLL) by almost three tenths (1'15"434) .

In GTD, the Farnbacher-McCurry-Michimi trio from Meyer Shank Racing will start from first position on the grid. The No. 3 Acura NSX GT86 clocked 1'19 on the Road Atlanta track.
