Filipe Albuquerque, pole position and victory for you at Road America, how do you explain this perfect weekend?

I felt really good in the car since the start of the weekend. I was comfortable during qualifying and the start of the race was excellent. Then there was the question of what strategy to follow with the rain. I was happy to see the track dry. We were really strong at the end of the race and I pushed to get back on Oliver Jarvis. They had maximized their settings for rain.

Can you tell us this extraordinary overtaking for victory ?

When I was behind Jarvis, championship points were on my mind. I had to overtake him and wait for traffic to get a good opportunity. I pushed my luck by going through the grass. I really wanted to overtake him and win this race, I created my own space! I am really happy with this achievement. It was important to win.

It's a good operation for you and for the team before Petit Le Mans. Does this bode well for the title?

We needed a perfect score in the last two races (Road America and Petit Le Mans. Editor's note). We had to beat them this Sunday to have a chance in the final. Second place was a good result for them (Meyer Shank Racing. Editor's note), since they were still leading the championship, but they had their accident. They were lucky to get going again after coming out of such a fast corner. This allows us to be ahead in the championship, but we do not have a sufficiently comfortable margin for the last race. We must always finish ahead of them.
