In order to compensate for the absence of Joao Barbosa, injured in his wrist in a bicycle fall, Action Express Racing will trust the Colombian Gabby Chavez to support Christian Fittipaldi and Filipe Albuquerque at the wheel of the No. 5 Cadillac DPi-VR during the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen (June 29 – July 1) in IMSA.
The former GP3 Series resident, who successfully crossed the Atlantic with the 2014 Indy Lights title, turned to the IndyCar Series with Bryan Herta Autosport, Dale Coyne Racing and today with Harding Racing.
Chaves will return to a series where he had already competed, notably at the 24 2014 Hours of Daytona with the DeltaWing and already on the Watkins Glen track in 2016, still with this same DeltaWing.
