IMSA – 3GT Racing confirms David Heinemeier-Hansson and Jack Hawksworth

3GT Racing will return to the GTD category peloton in IMSA in 2018 with its Lexus RC F GT3 and will be able to count on the Dane David Heinemeier-Hansson and the American Jack Hawksworth.

If Hawksworth, passed through the IndyCar Series, will carry out its second season in the endurance championship with 3GT Racing, David Heinemeier-Hansson had already played with Paul Gentilozzi, manager of the team, in American Le Mans Series with an Oreca FLM09 then in the United Sportscar Championship.

Heinemeier-Hansson subsequently shone in WEC and at Le Mans, notably winning victory in GTE Am in 2014 with Aston Martin Racing. « The peloton is so varied, indicates the Dane.

Probably the most diverse category of all races. The I.MSA and everyone around GT3 have managed to make these cars pretty much equal, which gives the category some real excitement. I've raced in GTLM, but I haven't raced in GTD. I have a lot to learn about ABS brakes and other features of the category. I'm really looking forward to it. »

3GT Racing will field two Lexuses in 2018 and must confirm its other drivers in the coming days.
