IMSA – Core Autosport goes Prototype

With five titles to his credit (ALMS and IMSA combined), it is an understatement to say that the Core Autosport team is the absolute reference for PC in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Category that she had abandoned this year in favor of GTD, where she is engaging a Porsche 911 GT3 R. However, it will not have stayed there for long since its arrival in Prototype was made official today.

For her debut in the premier class, she has decided to order an Oreca 07, which she will entrust to the same drivers, namely Jon Bennett and Colin Braun.

« We spent the current season watching with interest as the competition and budgets evolved in the category, underlines boss-pilot Jon Bennett. We are encouraged and looking forward to the 24 Hours of Daytona. »

And Hugues de Chaunac, president of Oreca, continued: “ We are delighted to see Core join the Oreca family in LM P2. It's a bit like the team is coming home because of its commitment to the Prototype Challenge. »

The 2018 line-up will undoubtedly look very good.
