IMSA – Action Express double at Road America

Action Express Racing did not go into detail at Road America (Wisconsin). The team achieved a double with the victory of Dane Cameron and Eric Curran in the No. 31 which preceded the sister car of Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi by six tenths.

Mazda lost the victory in the pits. A poor strategy relegated polesitter Nunez-Bomarito's No. 55 to fifth behind the Taylor brothers' No. 10 and the Michael Shank Racing Honda JS P2 of Pew-Negri Jr.

In GTLM, Corvette scored its 101st victory with the C7R of Gavin-Milner taking the lead over the No. 67 Ford GT of Briscoe-Westbrook on the final lap. The winners, who consolidated their lead in the Championship with this fourth success this season, notably took advantage of the errors of Toni Vilander, driver of the Ferrari 488 GTE n°62 du Risi Competizione, et de Nick Tander, pilote de la Porsche 911 RSR n°911, tous deux partis en tête-à-queue. Le podium est complété par la BMW M6 d’Edwards-Luhr qui précède la Porsche de Makowiecki-Bamber.

PR1/Mathiasen wins for the second time this year in LMPC with the #52 of Kimber Smith-Alon who beat the #54 of Core Autosport of Bennett-Braun and the #38 of Performance Tech1 Motorsports of French- Marcelli. Riley Motorsports takes GTD victory with Bleekemolen-Keating's Dodge Viper GT3-R.
