IMSA – JDC with a second Oreca 07 in 2018

JDC-Miller MotorSports has indicated its intention to enter a second Oreca 07 in IMSA in 2018 which she should receive this fall.

The Minneapolis (Minnesota) team is currently in third place in the Championship, 26 points behind Wayne Taylor Racing, being the first team among those entered with an LMP2, notably thanks to its two 2nd places achieved during the last meetings at Watkins Glen. (New Tork and at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with Stephen Simpson and Chris Miller and Misha Goikhberg as reinforcements on the long events.

“This year has been a big step for all of us, but we are proud that our team has managed to make this transition, comments John Church, co-owner of JDC-Miller MotorSports. It was a big challenge to move up to the first category but we were confident that we could be competitive. These results validate our efforts and make us want to continue our involvement and the entry of a second car is the logical next step in our objective of becoming one of the most competitive sports teams in North America. »

JDC-Miller MotorSports is also targeting the Jim Trueman Award, an award that recognizes amateur drivers in the Prototype and GTD categories with a place in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

“I'd be lying if I said we didn't have high hopes for this award. We have already made it known to IMSA that we would take the invitation to the 24 2018 Hours of Le Mans if we win it, adds John Church. We know we need to continue to grow to consider opportunities in DPi and the entry of a second car and entry into Le Mans follows these plans. »
