IMSA – Juan Pablo Montoya and Dane Cameron with Penske and Acura

We already mentioned it in issue 2126 of AUTOhebdo from August 9, Juan Pablo Montoya and Dane Cameron will be part of the Penske and Acura armada in IMSA in 2018. . The Colombian, who went through the program IndyCar of the team is well known to Roger Penske's structure, while Dane Cameron won the American endurance championship in 2016 with Action Express Racing.

The two other full-year drivers, as well as those lined up for long races like Daytona or Sebring, will however be announced later. The Acura ARX-05 which will be entered by Team Penske is due to be presented this Friday in Monterey, California.

« When Roger asked me if I wanted to be part of this new sports car program with Acura, it was an easy decision to make, admits Montoya. I always liked the category. It's a real challenge and it will be a lot of fun to develop a new car with Acura.

I'm excited to begin testing with the ARX-05 next week. Team Penske began its successful history with sports cars and it will be fun to be part of a new chapter for the team. »
