IMSA – Porsche recalls Bamber and Tandy

Conformément à ce que nous avions annoncé, Earl Bamber et Nick Tandy retrouvent le contingent de pilotes Porsche GT et l’IMSA SportsCar Championship after the end of the LM P1 program at the end of the 2017 season. Two cars developed by Core Autosport will be entered year-round in the American series.

On the No. 911, Frenchman Patrick Pilet will reunite with Briton Nick Tandy, who helped him win the title in 2015, forgetting the overall victory gleaned from Petit Le Mans. On the sister car, which will sport the number 912, Earl Bamber will share the wheel with Belgian Laurens Vanthoor, who is therefore setting off for a second campaign in a row across the Atlantic.

In the four NAEC races (24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, 6 Hours of the Glen and Petit Le Mans), these duos will be respectively supported by the Frenchman Frédéric Makowiecki and the Italian Gianmaria Bruni.

The IMSA SportsCar Championship season will open on January 27 and 28, with the 56th edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona.
