IMSA – Risi Competizione focuses on stability

Risi Competizione finished the 2016 season with a bang, winning Petit Le Mans in the GTLM category. A result allowing him to finish in fifth place in the championship. For 2017, Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander should again compete for the entirety of the upcoming year. The Italian and his Finnish friend will be supported at the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 28-29) by the Briton James Calado.

« This is one of the best crews on the grid, insists Rick Mayer, the race engineer of the No. 62. They know all the ingredients needed to win racesEndurance. They get along well on and off the track, which is also important to me. They are fast, know the car and Daytona and work well with the team. What more ? »

The three men will be present this weekend at the Daytona International Speedway for the Roar before the Rolex 24, collective tests carried out ahead of the Florida double round of the clock. As a reminder, the Houston team's last title dates back to 2007, during the ALMS.
