IMSA – A major double for Lamborghini in GTD

This is an unprecedented performance since the merger between the ALMS and the Rolex Sports Car Series in 2014 to give birth to the current championship. IMSA. By triumphing yesterday at Sebring with the No. 3 Huracan GT48 – Paul Miller Racing of Madison Snow, Corey Lewis (Junior Lamborghini) and Bryan Sellers, Lamborghini thus offers itself an unprecedented Daytona – Sebring double.

A leading performance which confirms the excellent dispositions of the GT3 from Sant'Agata Bolognese, which after dominating the Blancpain GT Series scene in 2017, is showing itself to its advantage at the start of the American campaign with this first success at Sebring.

“Signing two consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring is a result that no other manufacturer has achieved in recent times, recalls Stefano Domenicali, president of Lamborghini.

We are therefore extremely satisfied and believe that, as always, but not only in motorsport, these victories allow us to stay focused on the next challenges. I would like to congratulate the Paul Miller Racing team and its drivers for the extraordinary job they have accomplished. »

Bryan Sellers took the lead at the end of the race over Jeroen Bleekemolen (Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°33 – Riley Motorsports) before finishing victoriously ahead of the Ferrari 488 GT3 n°63 – Team Corsa.

“At the start of this weekend we weren't at the top of the timesheet because the track has changed so much since our last test here, comments Madison Snow. It took us a lot of work to get the pace we needed to be competitive.

You never really know what you have until the race starts, and every stint the car was perfect. »
