IMSA – United Autosports will compete in the entire NAEC in 2018

Present at the 24 Hours of Daytona (Florida) for the opening of theIMSA 2018 this weekend, the stable United Autosports will extend its commitment on the other side of the Atlantic by competing in the other endurance events of the series, counting for the North American Endurance Cup namely the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans.

This program is in addition to that planned in ELMS and a desired participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The structure of Zak Brown and Richard Dean has already announced that Phil Hanson, associated to Lando Norris et Fernando Alonso at Daytona, and Bruno senna, teammate of Paul Di Resta, Will Owen and Hugo from Sadeleer in Florida, will be lined up on the Ligier JS P217 in action in the three additional races.

“It will be a good addition to an already quite sumptuous program that we have in place with the ELMS and Daytona and my testing program, so my calendar will be full, comments Hanson.

Obviously I'm really happy to do it with United. We chose them at the end of last year after their success in Europe and the professionalism they display. The structure has been very good so far, so we are really happy to expand the program with the team. »

“We have a lot of work to do, underlines Bruno Senna for his part. There is always a lot of development regarding the car and the team throughout the season and the first race always represents a big learning phase.

We can now look at the next races and try to do our best. Each race will offer us very different challenges, Sebring is a bumpy and complicated track so there will be a lot of work to do to make the car fun to drive for 12 hours but I'm excited to see what we can do.

I know all the tracks and I will do what I can to help the team and Phil get up to speed. »

The two Ligier JS P217 – United Autosports will start from 13th and 15th places tomorrow evening at the start of the 24 Hours of Daytona.
