It was a finish that a Hollywood film script would not have denied. While the final act of the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen seemed to take the form of a bland remake of the 1000 Miles of Sebring (interrupted following the arrival of the storm), its outcome was wild. These 20 breathtaking minutes amazed the spectators, transforming this 71st edition into a blockbuster. Headlining: Filipe Albuquerque. The experienced Portuguese was the main player in this final bouquet to win a third time on the New York circuit after 3 and 2016.
