Jules Gounon with Meyer Shank Racing at Daytona

We had already seen him on Florida soil in 2017, then entered in a Montaplast by Land Motorsport Audi R8 LMS GT3, with a second place at the 24 Hours of Daytona in the GTD category.

Very close to winning, Jules Gounon hopes to once again aim for the leading roles and will return to the American double round of the clock next January, still in GTD, this time in an Acura NSX GT3 from Meyer Shank Racing.

On the No. 86, the Bentley Motorsport driver will support year-round starters Mario Farnbacher and Matt McMurry, as well as the third driver on the events Endurance from Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans, the American-Japanese Shinya Michimi.

“I'm really excited to race for Meyer Shank Racing at Daytona, comments the son of Jean-Marc Gounon. For me, MSR is one of the best teams in the United States, so I'm really proud that Mike Shank chose me.

I'm really looking forward to doing whatever I can to help the team, Mario and Matt get the season off to a good start. I have something unfinished with Daytona, which is why I'm really excited to come back. »

Note that Meyer Shank Racing will support the entry of Heinricher Racing in IMSA in 2020, with an Acura NSX GT3 entrusted for the year to Misha Goikhberg and Alvaro Parente, supported in the endurance events by Trent Hindman. AJ Allmendinger will be the fourth driver at Daytona.
