Kevin Magnussen with Chip Ganassi in IMSA

Kevin Magnussen will begin his American dream. Not kept by the stable Haas en Formula 1 for the 2021 season, the Dane will bounce back to the United States with Chip Ganassi Racing. Expected in Indycar on the other side of the Atlantic, Magnussen will finally complete the full season of the championship IMSA with Ganassi, who makes his return to the American series.

Present in Formula 1 since 2014, the 28-year-old driver has never driven anything other than a car in his career. He will therefore make his endurance debut at the wheel of the Cadillac Dpi.

As we announced (AUTOhebdo n°2287) Renger Van der Zende, the double winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona with Wayne Taylor Racing for whom he drove a Cadillac, will also be there.

The two drivers will complete the full season, sprint and endurance, and will be joined by two additional teammates at Daytona. Indycar champion Scott Dixon is expected to be among them.
