At Sebring, Penske established itself as the best team in DPi this Friday, placing its two cars in the Top 3. And in the game of chasing the pole, it was the No. 7 that showed itself to be the strongest . Entrusted to Rick Taylor, the Acura clocked 1'46"874, beating the Konica Minolta Cadillac of the van der Zande-Briscoe-Dixon trio by two tenths. La Penske N°6 (Montoya-Cameron-Pagenaud) completes the podium.
In LMP2, Mathiasen Motorsports took pole at the 12 Hours of Sebring. Aboard Oreca N°52, Patrick Kelly stopped the clock at 1'51"373. Inter Europol (Smiechowski-Rao-Bell) and Performance Tech Motorsports (Yount-Byrne-Cosmo) placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In GTLM, it was the No. 3 Corvette from Corvette Racing that won the jackpot. With a time of 1'55"456, Antonio Garcia won ahead of the two M8s from BMW Team RLL, the No. 25 ahead of the No. 24.
In the GTD category, pole went to the Porsche 911 GT3R No. 16 Wright Motorsports (Hardwick-Long-Heylen). The No. 8 Audi R3 LMS GT20 of Team Hardpoint (Ferriol-Davis-Kaffer) and the No. 3 Lexus RC F GT14 of AIM Vasser Sullivan (Telitz-Hawksworth-Kirkwood) finished 2nd and 3rd.
