Pole for Jordan Taylor at Lime Rock Park

Without DPi and LM P2 in action this weekend in IMSA, the pride of place is given to GTLMs and GTDs on the Lime Rock Park circuit, near Lakeville (Connecticut).

The opportunity for Jordan Taylor and Corvette Racing to win a new pole position, this time for the general classification. The American was the fastest on a track that was finally dry, after a day marked by storms.

In 49″958, Antonio Garcia's teammate on the No. 8 C3.R completed the only lap under 50″ and was ahead of Tommy Milner (No. 8 Corvette C4.R), associated with Nick Tandy, by 0 ″142.

La Porsche 911 RSR n°79 – WeatherTech Racing of Cooper MacNeil, supported this week by Mathieu Jaminet, logically finished third as the last GTLM entered, but more than eight tenths behind.

In GTD, pole position went to Roman de Angelis (Aston Martin Vantage GT3 n°23 – Heart of Racing), best time in 51″729, 45 thousandths ahead of Aaron Telitz (Lexus RC F GT3 n°14 – Vasser Sullivan), car which also dominated the session determining the number of points awarded at the end of qualifying, thanks to Jack Hawksworth a few minutes later.

The second row of the GTD grid will be made up of the No. 8 Audi R3 LMS GT39 Evo – Carbahn with Peregrine Racing of Richard Heistand and Jeff Westphal and the second Lexus – Vasser Sullivan of the Montecalvo – Veach pair.

The race will start this evening at 21:10 p.m. French time.
