THEIMSA has begun preparations for the 2022 campaign, the last before the LMDh-LMH convergence and the first of the GTD PRO era in GT. Unsurprisingly, the start of the next financial year is scheduled for Daytona with the traditional 24 Hours of the Florida track (January 27 to 30).

The season will continue with a new endurance event, the 12 Hours of Sebring (March 16 to 19), where all car categories will be involved. Scheduled for April 8 to 9, 2022, the Long Beach Grand Prix will be the first non-endurance race with the presence of only the DPi, GTD PRO and GTD.

The 6 Hours of Watkins Glen (June 23 to 26) is the third stage of the Michelin Endurance Cup 2022. Before that, IMSA competitors will travel to Laguna Seca (April 29-May 1), Mid-Ohio (May 13-15) and Belle Isle in Detroit (June 3-4) for traditional tests.

2022 also marks the return of Canada to the IMSA calendar with the 2h40 race planned at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (July 1 to 3) where only the DPi, LMP3, GTD PRO and GTD will be on track. The meetings at Lime Rock (July 15 and 16), Road America (August 5 to 7) and Virginie (August 26 to 28) will follow before the end of the season with Petit Le Mans (September 28 to October 1).
