THEIMSA has published the list of drivers entered for the next Roar Before the Rolex 24 (January 3-5), which will begin tomorrow in Florida and which will constitute the big dress rehearsal before the opening of the 2020 season at the 24 Hours of Daytona (25- January 26).
If Acura Team Penske, Wayne Taylor Racing or even Mazda Team Joest offer crews similar to those seen in 2019, JDC-Miller will offer the most changes with the arrivals of Sébastien Bourdais et Loïc duval on the No. 5 Cadillac DPi-VR.
Lined up in 2019 for the entire season, but for the moment not confirmed for 2020, Tristan Vautier is registered on the two prototypes entered by JDC-Miller on this Roar 2020.
In LM P2, Gabriel Aubry is also registered on the two Oreca 07s of PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports, he who took part in the rounds Endurance in 2019. No surprises in GTLM, as Shane van Gisbergen makes his appearance in the No. 3 Lexus RC F GT12 – AIM Vasser Sullivan.
Also note that Ben Keating is registered both on the Oreca 07 – PR1/Mathiasen n°52 and on the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°74 – Riley Motorsports. The American indicated in a tweet that he would indeed drive in both categories in the race.
Not only will I race in both classes for Rolex24, but it will be my 5th time to do it. I love doing it. I will end up driving somewhere around 10 hours in the race. Very manageable.
