Flynig Lizard Motorsports will be present at the 12 Hours of Sebring on March 16 with two Porsche 911 GT3 Cup registered in the GTC category. The No. 45 will be entrusted to the American Spencer Pumpelly and the Venezuelan Nelson Canache Jr who will be joined by Brian Wong who will make his debut with the Californian team after having competed in several events in the discipline at the wheel of the car within of Alex Job Racing and Green Hornet Racing. “We arrive at Sebring very optimistic”, confides Spencer Pumpelly. “We have a superb car in testing (last month at Sebring), Nelson worked very hard and found a good rhythm and the team was able to adapt very quickly to the Cup version. My teammates are both experienced in GTC and have the speed to be in the game. »

The sister car No. 44, on the other hand, will offer a new crew with the German Pierre Ehret, the American Breet Sandberg and the Swiss Alexandre Imperatori. The German driver, however, has solid experience in endurance having competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Daytona, the ALMS or even the WEC. The local driver will be the least experienced since he has essentially only competed in two seasons in the Pirelli World Challenge. The Swiss driver, on the other hand, has good experience despite his young age (25 years old). After a journey in car towards the Asian Championships (Asian Formula Renault Challenge, F3 Japanese and Formula Nippon), the Genevan competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, winning the title last year. “This will be my first race in America and I thank the Flying Lizard for this opportunity. Being able to experience the American race at Sebring is simply incredible. I know the event will be incredibly competitive and I will have to learn a lot very quickly, but I am confident that with my teammates and the support of the team we can achieve a strong result. »
