Night fell on Road Atlanta and Petit Le Mans between its final phase, the one where anything can happen. With two hours to go, Filipe Albuquerque is at the top of the standings with the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura. The Portuguese is ahead of Frenchman Olivier Pla in the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi and Earl Bamber in the No. 02 Cadillac.

In LM P2, Sebastian Montoya took over from his father Juan Pablo at the wheel of the No. 81 DragonSpeed USA Oreca. The young Colombian leads the category ahead of Louis Delétraz in the #8 Tower Motorsport and Tristan Nunez in the #1 Mathiasen Motorsport PR11.

Andretti Autosport is still leading the LM P3 category with its No. 320 Ligier JS P36 and Gabby Chaves at the wheel. He is followed by Garett Grist in the No. 30 Jr III Racing car and Kay van Berlo in the No. 74 Riley Motorsport.

The #3 Lexus RC F GT14 of VasserSullivan is still in the lead in GTD Pro with Ben Barnicoat. There Porsche No. 9 of Pfaff Motorsports returned to second position led by Matt Campbell. It was a battle for third place on the podium between James Calado on the Ferrari of Risi Competizione and Antonio Garcia on the Corvette C8.R. The Spaniard spun into the gravel after contact with the Briton.

The podium has not changed in GTD: Seb Priaulx is in the lead with the McLaren 720S GT3 n°70 from inception racing. He is followed by two BMW M4 GT3s: the No. 96 from Turner Motorsport driven by Robby Foley and the No. 1 from Paul Miller Racing driven by Madinson Snow.
