With Filipe Albuquerque behind the wheel of the No. 05 Acura ARX-10, Wayne Taylor Racing moved to the top of the standings during Petit's fifth hour of racing. Le Mans. Halfway through this final of the 2022 season, the Portuguese and his team virtually hold the title IMSA. However, there is still a long way to go to the checkerboard and there is still a way to go, especially on such a demanding circuit where traffic is a constant danger. Loïc duval can attest to this. Leading at the end of the fourth hour, the Frenchman from JDC Miller MotorSports found himself involved in an accident with the No. 12 Lexus of VasserSullivan. End of race for the two contenders for victory in their category.

The mid-race podium is completed by Mike conway on the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac and the No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura driven by Oliver Jarvis.
In the LM P3 category, former Whelen Engineering DPi driver Tristan Nunez leads the standings with the No. 11 Oreca of PR1 Mathiasen Motorspors. The American is ahead of Fabio Scherer in the No. 20 of High Class Racing and the No. 18 of Era Motorsport driven by Ryan Dalziel.
Felipe Fraga took the lead in LM P2 with the No. 320 Riley Motorsports Ligier JS P74, ahead of Josh Burdon for Andretti Autosport and Garett Grist for Jr III Racing.
La Ferrari de Risi Competizione still leads the GTD Pro category with Daniel Serra at the wheel. He is ahead of the only other Lexus still in the race, the No. 14 of VasserSullivan driven by driver AJ Foyt Racing in IndyCar, Kyle Kirkwood. Nicky Catsburg is third in the No. 8 Corvette C3.R.
The No. 4 Turner Motorsport BMW M3 GT96 dominates the GTD standings at mid-race with Robby Foley ahead of Seb Priaulx on the McLaren 720S GT3 from inception racing and Simon Mann on the #21 AF Corse Ferrari.
