Filipe Albuquerque was in great form at Road America this Saturday. At the wheel of the No. 10 Acura DPi Wayne TaylorRacing for qualifying, the Portuguese impressed. Already the only one under 1:50, the Lusitanian further improved his reference mark in 1:48.955! Alex Lynn (Cadillac Racing) and Tom Blomqvist (Meyer Shank Racing) came close to this time by also going under 1:50, but without managing to dislodge Albuquerque. The session ended prematurely with a red flag raised following Sébastien's exit from the track. Bourdais. The Frenchman lost control of the No. 01 Cadillac DPi which ended up in the tire wall and gravel. Steven Thomas was the fastest in LM P2 in the #11 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports Oreca.

In the LM P3 category, Malthe Jakobsen is the only one to have gone under two minutes. The Dane from Sean Creech Motosport set a time of 1:59.434 at the wheel of the No. 320 Ligier JS P33, ahead of two other prototypes from the French manufacturer: the No. 36 of Jarett Andretti and the No. 74 of Gar Robinson.

In the fight for pole in GTD Pro at Road America, Matt Campbell made a mistake on his last flying lap. The pilot of the Porsche #9 of Pfaff Motorsports had to leave the reference time to Jack Hawksworth in the #3 Lexus RC F GT14. The Briton posted his best lap in 2:05.365. Antonio Garcia completed the podium with the Corvette C8.R.

In GT, it was Robby Foley who was fastest in 2:06.084, in the No. 4 Turner Motorsport BMW M3 GT96.
