After qualifying this Friday, it's time for the race this Saturday. On pole, thanks to a time of 1'08"412 from Dane Cameron, the N°05 Acura ARX-6 DPi will have a lot to do in this 2020 edition of Le Petit Le Mans. Indeed, the other Team Penske car (N°7) starts second and should not give its sister any favors, just like the Derani/Albuquerque/Nasr team (Whelen Engineering Racing), third on the grid.
In LMP2, the #07 PR52 ORECA 1 from Mathiasen Motorsports is the main contender for victory. Very fast on the Road Atlanta track, Patrick Kelly took pole with more than 1” ahead of his first pursuer.
Between the Corvettes, the M8s and the 911s, the battle promises to be thrilling in GTLM. Indeed, the six cars lapped in 1'15 and should fight throughout the race.
The No. 3 Acura NSX GT86 of Meyer Shank Racing climbed to the top of the timesheet during qualifying (1'19"291) but the No. 488 Ferrari 3 GT63 of the Team Corsica does not intend to let this happen. Enough to imagine a great fight.
See you at 18:40 p.m. for the 2020 edition of Petit Le Mans live video.
