USC – Bourdais and Action Express Racing win at Sebring

Action Express Racing won the 12 Hours of Sebring (Florida) in style. Sébastien’s Corvette DP n°5 Bourdais, Christian Fittipaldi and Joao Barbosa took the checkered flag one lap ahead of the No. 10 of the Wayne TaylorRacing led by brothers Taylor and Max Angelelli. No. 90 of Visitflorida.com Racing of Westbrook-Valiante-Rockenfeller completed the podium.

The LMP2s suffered at Sebring since it was the Ligier JS P2 of Krohn Racing started on pole and driven by Pla-Krohn-Jonsson who is the best classified with only 8th place. The American team notably lost time during a pit stop.

After its success at the 24 Hours of Daytona last January, the Corvette C7R n°3 once again won in GTLM with Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia and Ryan Briscoe. The American manufacturer took advantage of misfortunes of Porsche, the No. 911 of Tandy-Pilet-Lietz-Bamber encountering gearbox problems at the end of the race causing it to fall to 5th place. La Ferrari du Risi Competition by Kaffer-Fisichella-Bertolini and the 911 RSR from Team Falken Tire of Sellers-Henzler-Long complete the category podium.

PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports won again in PC after its victory at Daytona with Mike Guasch, Andrew Palmer and Tom Kimber-Smith. The GTD victory went to the Team Seattle/Alex Job Racing Porsche 911 GT America with Cooper MacNeil, Leh Keen and Andrew Davis.
