USC – ESM chooses the HPD ARX-04b for 2015

It’s a busy weekend for Extreme Speed Motorsports. After picking up pole at Laguna Seca, the Californian team announced the purchase of two HPD ARX-04b for next year. The LMP2, eligible in USC, in WEC, riding a ELMS or even in Asian Le Mans Series, will be powered by the 6l twin-turbo V2,8 with direct injection corresponding to the sweet name of HR28TT, a block developed jointly between Honda Performance Development and Wirth Research.

“Extreme Speed Motorsports and Tequila Patron are excited to continue their relationships with Honda and HPD”, comments owner Scott Sharp. “It's hard to believe that the current HPD (ARX-03) is now seven years old and still so competitive. This is proof of its excellent design. The new generation of ARX chassis has been created with the same attention to performance, safety and aerodynamics. We firmly believe that this new mount will provide ESM with a premier platform to be at the forefront for many seasons. »

Extreme Speed Motorsports has clarified that its program for next season could include participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
