USC – The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 arrives in 2016

The current GTD category United Sportscar Championship (which will be known next year as WeatherTech Sportscar Championship) will welcome from the first meeting of the 2016 season to 24 Hours of Daytona (Florida) on January 30 and 31 Lamborghini Huracan GT3, who made his competitive debut this year in Blancpain Endurance Series, with an entry victory at Monza.

O'Gara Motorsport and Change Racing, already aligned in Super Trofeo North America, will be involved in WeatherTech Sportscar Championshi from Daytona while Konrad Motorsport will put a car on track in Florida. These commitments will be supported by Lamborghini, which is not currently directly involved.

“We are only focused and committed to customer programs, admits Giorgio Sanna, Motorsport manager of the Santa'Agata Bolognese brand. For us, GT3 is the pinnacle of our strategy. We are excited to take this next step in North America as our motorsport program competes for the first time in Lamborghini history at the 24 Hours of Daytona and full-season GTD engagements. »

No driver has yet been announced, with Konrad Motorsport, a regular at the Florida event (sixteen participations), also studying the possibility of fielding a second car at Daytona.
