USC – Pla and Makowiecki stand out in qualifying at Sebring

Frenchman Olivier Pla took pole position for the 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida. Frédéric Makowiecki also distinguished himself in GT LM.

USC – Pla and Makowiecki stand out in qualifying at Sebring

The French drivers hit hard during qualifying for the 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida, scene of the second round of United Sportscar Championship 2015, and North America Endurance Cup. Pole position went to Toulouse Olivier Pl, aligned with the Ligier JS P2? Judd n°57 of Krohn Racing. With a best lap completed in 1'51″152, the Nissan driver WEC ahead of the HPD ARX-03b n°1 of Ryan Dalziel (Tequila Patrón ESM) and the Corvette DP n°5 of the Action Express Racing team of Joao Barbosa, where we will also find Sébastien Bourdais.

L’autre performance tricolore est à mettre à l’actif des Français de Porsche en GT LM. Frédéric Makowiecki on the #911 Porsche 912 RSR was the fastest in front of the other 911 RSR from Porsche North America entrusted to his compatriot patrick pilet. Antonio Garcia places the first official Corvette C7.R in third position just ahead of the BMW Z4 of Dirk Werner's Team RLL.

In PC, Martin Plowman's BAR09 Motorsports Oreca FLM1 will start at the head of the category while in GTD, Dutchman Jeroen Bleekemolen dominated the session at the wheel of Riley Motorsports' Dodge Viper.
