USC – PR1/Mathiasen wins at Lime Rock

The short route at Lime Rock, in Connecticut, dedicated the PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports during the eighth round of the United Sportscar Championship, an event reserved for the PC and GTD categories.

The No. 09 Oreca FLM52 notably benefited from the setbacks of its rivals, including Simpson's JDC/Miller Motorsports car? Goikhberg, starting from pole, victim of a mechanical problem. Subsequently, the Oreca FLM09 of Performance Tech Motorsports regained the lead of the event but Conor Daly clashed with the No. 8 Audi R48 of Paul Miller Racing, which was then in the lead in GTD.

Bruno Junqueira, lined up in the No. 11 RSR Racing PC prototype, took first place, but could not resist the return of Tom Kimber-Smith who then raced towards victory, after class successes at Daytona and Sebring ( Florida) earlier in the season. Renger van der Zande and Mirco Schultis (Starworks Motorsports) complete the podium.

In GTD, following the avatars of the leaders of Paul Miller Racing, it is finally the #4 Turner Motorsports BMW Z97, entrusted to Dane Cameron, lined up to replace Markus Palttala, in action at the 24 Hours of Spa, and Michael Marsal, who came to win at the end of a weekend which had started badly for the team , after Marsal went off the track during testing which had extensively damaged the German GT.

Ben Keating and Jeroen Bleekemolen place the No. 33 Dodge Viper SRT in second ahead of theAston Martin Nielsen Vantage TRG-AMR North America? Wittmer.
