USCC – Krohn Racing soon with an LMP2?

The Krohn Racing team announced a few hours ago its participation in some USCC races in 2014 with a Ferrari 458 Italy (see here) but its owner, Tracy Krohn, has other ambitions.

Present in Bahrain as part of the WEC On the weekend of December 1st, the Texan tested the Lotus T128 meeting LMP2 regulations during a private test session organized on Monday December 2nd.

“We wanted to test the Lotus P2 as soon as possible because it is a car we could run in 2015 and beyond, said driver-owner Tracy Krohn. Nic (Jönnsson. Editor’s note) and I wanted to make the necessary adjustments so that we were comfortable behind the wheel. 2015 will be a pivotal year for the LMP2 category in both USCC and WEC,” declared the American entrepreneur.

The Krohn Racing team is therefore leaving the 2014 season to think about the possibility of entering a prototype in the years to come.

“We are going to test more than one chassis keeping in mind that we could run in the United SportsCar Championship, WEC and/or European Le Mans shows, revealed the 59-year-old Texan. If we find a closed P2 car that suits us in the next six or seven months, then we can consider something in the future. The most important thing is to feel comfortable in the cabin, especially since I am taller than most drivers,” concluded the owner of the Krohn Racing team.

The entry of a future LMP2 by the "greens" will therefore entirely depend on the well-being of the owner in his seat. First elements of response within a few months.
