The Frenchman could therefore not miss the USCC, the American championship resulting from the merger between the Grand-Am and the ALMS. The USCC, or rather the NAEC, mini series made up of four long races, namely the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans. On these occasions, he will share the wheel of an HPD ARX-03b from the Extreme Speed Motorsports team with Americans Ed Brown and Johannes Van Overbeek. At Daytona the three men will be joined by Anthony Lazzaro, who will also support the usual Brown-Van Overbeek duo at Watkins Glen.

“I am delighted to join ESM, rejoices Poitevin, third in theIndyCar Series in 2013. ESM has proven to be a team capable of winning, both in GT and in prototypes. I spoke with Scott (Sharp, the boss. Ed.), and the opportunity to ride with Ed and Johannes is an offer that could not be refused. I can never thank Honda enough for the leading role played in my career, both in sports prototypes and in IndyCar. We have a good crew, a great team behind us and a reliable and fast car. »

In the second car fielded by the American team, the usual pair of Scott Sharp and Ryan Dalziel will be supported at Daytona, Sebring and Petit Le Mans by Australian David Brabham.
