Road to Le Mans – Mühlner Motorsport triumphs in race 2

The #21 Nissan of the Mühlner Motorsport team won in the second race of the weekend in Road to Le Mans. In GT3, victory was decided in the final loop.

Road to Le Mans – Mühlner Motorsport triumphs in race 2

Last support race before the big start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Road to Le Mans championship was supposed to make our mouths water before the big spectacle of the double clock tower. Starting from pole position, the #21 Nissan of the Mühlner Motorsport team won the second race of the weekend. With a comfortable lead of 11 seconds at the checkered flag, the Belgian crew was never put in danger by the other competitors in the LMP3 category. The podium is completed by the #19 of the Cool Racing team and the #14 RLR MSport.

Note that the #11 of the WTM Powered by Phoenix team was in the leading trio before receiving a drive-through for causing a collision at the start of the race with a GT3. The race was also marked by a few off-track events. This is the case of the winning car in race 1, the Nielsen Racing #7. Also note a contact between the #37 Cool Racing Ligier and the #98 Motorsport98 Ligier on the first lap. 

In the GT3 category, everything came down to the last lap. While Logan sargeant Logan était aisément en tête au volant de l’Iron Lynx #8, le trafic aura eu raison du pilote américain. Tout cela a profité à la Porsche #2 du team TFT qui a pris la première position dans l’ultime boucle de la course. Le podium est complété par l’Audi #72 du Team WRT.
